After 4 years of research and development, the Tau 4.6L DOHC V-8 engine is mentioned as the first eight-cylinder engine independently developed at home. This engine will be installed on the next Hyundai’s large sedan VI following the Hyundai’s Genesis that is exported to the U.S. and Kia’s Mohave. And now American motoring Ward’s Auto announced that the engine debuts on 10 Best Engines list in the U.S.
The Tau engine was praised for its “velvety power delivery, competitive performance,” while its “attainable price epitomizes the Korean auto maker’s drive for world-class engineering.”
