Apollo To Open RV Factory in New Zealand

Apollo Motorhome Holidays announced last week that it will open new Talvor Motorhomes factory in New Zealand starting next month or April 2010. As mentioned on its press release, the new factory will produce approximately 250 campervans and motorhomes in the first year. And according to Apollo Group CEO Luke Trouchet, the new factory will supply the company’s custom designed rental campervans direct to its Auckland and Christchurch Apollo branches.
Operating 23 rental branches in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, USA, and employs more than 200 people, Apollo also known as the world’s largest privately owned recreational vehicle operator. The motorhome, campervan and car rental business has developed several brands to service all markets and established manufacturing arm Talvor Motorhomes in 2005. In addition Apollo and its group of companies Apex Rent A Car, Hippie Camper, Cheapa Campa is well known for its top quality fleet of luxury motorhomes, competitive car hire rates and its personalised service to customers.
Other facts stated that Apollo achieved a 50% increase in recreational vehicle production in 2009 from its Brisbane factory, and launched four new vehicle types including the Talvor Pinnacle, a 6 berth motorhome built specifically for the Australian and New Zealand rental markets.
