The 1964 Aston Martin DB5 James Bond Movie Car Comes to Market for First Time in History

RM Auctions announces the consignment of one of the most significant cultural icons of the 20th century – the 1964 Aston Martin DB5 James Bond movie car – to its annual ‘Automobiles of London’ event at the Battersea Evolution in London on 27th October, where it is available for sale for the first time in history and expected to achieve in excess of $5 million. The car is being offered by RM in association with Sotheby’s, with whom RM has worked in the past.

Hyundai Avante Become the Second Korean Car to Reach 5 Million in Sale

The Hyundai Avante is reported reaching 5 million in sales since its debut in 1995. The same record was broke by Hyundai Accent in 2001, it means that Avante is the second one to break this record.

Since the Avante’s predecessor Elantra (948,348 units sold) was introduced in 1990, the vehicle line — Avante (introduced in 1995, 1.2 million sold), Avante XD (2000, 2.2 million), and Avante HD (2006, 593,915) — has been a continual bestseller. If every Avante sold to date was placed bumper to bumper, the line would reach from Seoul to Busan (428 km) and back 26 times.

The 1955 Jaguar D-Type Sold for $4.4 million

Jaguar D-Type

The new world’s record of auction price for any Jaguar motor car has been broken by a British buyer. He bought the 1955 Jaguar D-Type Sports Racing Car ‘XKD509’ for $4.4 million during the auction held at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in Chichester.
