Inexpensive, High-Quality Rides

So you’re looking for the most inexpensive car on the market that will get you where you’re going safely. Fortunately, you’re in the right place, a list of the five cheapest, high-quality cars so you can spend your energy searching for free insurance quotes, or watching YouTube videos of dancing cats. With no further ado, here they are, five cars that won’t break the bank:

Nissan Versa 1.6S ($11,750)
Successor to the Nissan Almera, this sub-compact has just as much interior room as a mid-size Sedan and is giving the Toyota Yaris a run for its money. The 1.6S does not necessarily offer all the varieties of transmission (four speed automatic, variable transmission and six-speed manual) as other models of the Versa and you won’t get ABS or cruise control, but for that price are you surprised?

Smart ForTwo Pure ($13,240)
Second generation of a car with an automated manual transmission that feels every bit like a manual. Roll-down windows, no air conditioning and no stereo—no problem. It gets you where you’re going and since there’s only two seats you don’t have to feel guilty not slowing down for hitchhikers anymore. Also, a new universe of parking possibilities will be opened up to you.

Ford’s Getting a Facelift

Ford has long been know for providing reliable vehicles to the working and middle class. However, Ford’s recent facelift, as exhibited by the release of the Evos concept at an auto show in Frankfurt, Germany, suggests that the company just might being trying to change that. In fact, many are referring to Ford’s latest release as the company’s best design release in years.

“We have a new generation of customers around the world, and they are fascinated with technology, which we happen to be working on quite a lot,” commented Chief of Global Design, J Mays. “They also have an insatiable appetite for premium design. And by premium I don’t just mean expensive design, but vehicles and products that look premium. We want to give the mainstream customer the feel of luxury.”

At the auto show in Frankfurt, the new Ford Evos was shown sporting 4 gull-wing doors, a plug-in hybrid powertrain, and numerous aerodynamic features. The normally economically driven Ford design definitely benefited from the new design features, and will provide consumers with a stunning and sleek new exterior that is reminiscent of the old Ferraris.

One of the most stand out design features of the new Evos were the headlights. While many new vehicles are being introduced with large headlights, the new Evos have the smallest legally allowed permitting the car to be more aerodynamic.

However, the new, sleek design isn’t the only thing new to Ford. The Evos will also be cloud connected – a stunning new feature Ford hopes will help the company forge on as one of the most innovative auto creators in the industry.

The production version of the car will be shown in four months at the Detroit Auto Show. While onlookers can expect to see the new, sleek design, the new Evos will not come with gull-wing doors as seen in the concept model. Gull-wings are only for concept cars so that the interior can be better photographed. The new look of Ford will become a mainstay on all vehicles with the exception of the soon-to-be released Mustang and F-150.

Those interested in the new look of Ford won’t have to worry about auto refinancing their other car to afford a new Evos either. The company is still striving to give “vehicles a premium look, without the price premium” according to Mays. The Ford Evos is expected to be released next year.
